EHS 2026 Conference

Turnkey Booths at EHS 2026. Design, in-house production, and assembly of 15 sustainable booths at Alfândega do Porto.

Description

The Alfândega do Porto Convention Center hosted the 48th Annual Congress of the European Hernia Society (EHS 2026 Congress) from June 3 to 5, 2026. At the invitation of the Diventos, we were responsible for the design, production, and assembly of 15 Turnkey Booths for different brands, covering an area of 48×41 m², as well as the design and installation of advertising and signage (signage) aimed at this area of the convention.

The Challenge

The most distinctive feature of this project was the contrast between geography and culture: the event took place “right on our doorstep,” in Porto, but the clients were all from abroad. This presented some very specific challenges:

  • The Language Barrier: Managing expectations, last-minute changes, and technical details with multiple international exhibitors required fluid, bilingual communication that left no room for misinterpretation.

  • Variety of Requirements: Each of the 15 booths was a different size, had specific requirements, and had its own visual identity that needed to be respected.

  • Assembly Time: Coordinate the delivery of materials and the rapid assembly in a historic and challenging building such as the Alfândega do Porto.

The Solution

To meet the high standards required by a European conference, we relied on our greatest competitive advantage: total control over the process.

  • 100% In-House Production: We manufacture all the project's structures. Without relying on third parties, we ensure that the systems Tex Wave and Tex Frame left our factory with millimeter-precise cuts and flawless finishes.

  • Communication Without Borders: Our multidisciplinary team provided direct, personalized support in English, eliminating any language barriers. Clients felt at ease speaking with a local partner who understood them perfectly.

  • Accurate Models and Sustainable Materials: Each international client approved their space using 3D renderings that exactly matched the final result. True to our DNA, the entire production was carried out using recyclable and recycled materials, including rPET fabric and prints made with eco-friendly inks—our standard practice.

Impact and Conclusion

The timely delivery and flawless execution of the 15 booths proved that geographic proximity is a bonus, but global communication capabilities and in-house production are what truly determine success. We’ve debunked the notion that working with local suppliers can be difficult for foreign brands.

When choosing solutions of Turnkey Booths where we oversaw everything from the construction of the structure to the very last word spoken in the pavilion, the Diventos and its exhibitors ensured a premium presence—ecological by nature and free of any noise in their communications.
